Important
Interest is calculated as simple interest per day (actual days / 365), and only for periods where we have checked the reference rate. Debt collection agencies and courts may round slightly differently. If you agreed a different rate, or the debt is under a credit agreement, other rules apply. Fees and compensation assume the conditions are met, for example that the reminders were sent at least 10 days apart.
This tool gives a general overview based on the rules as we understand them (rates and rules last checked on 3 November 2026). It is not legal, financial, accounting or tax advice and does not replace advice on your specific case. Rules and rates change, and your case may involve circumstances the tool does not take into account. Check the current rules, and get advice from a lawyer or an authorised debt collection agency before you make decisions. You use the tool at your own risk. Read the disclaimer.
